No doubt for me it was 93. It was the year I first smoked weed, the first year I got to third base (BJ), went to a bunch of partys. Saw Nirvana live in concert, music overall for me was at it's height. My little league team one the championship. My family took me to new york for the first time (got to see the towers). When i got my first good computer (486 DX2 66mhz, 8 megs of ram and a 14.4 modem.) My parents also bought me a super nintendo that year. Just had so much fun that year, it's without a doubt my favorite year of the 90's. 94 sucked cause kurt killed himself and Pearl Jam stopped touring that year so I didn't get to see them.
I liked '95 and '96 a lot. That's when I started kind of getting into music more and seeing more movies in the theatre that weren't aimed at little kids. I remember being sad that My So-Called Life wasn't on anymore. My sister also let me hang out with her and her friends a little more also (I worshipped teenagers in the '90s). Even though I was a "tween" I hate that name, that name wasn't around then, I was just a Pre-teen then...
"This scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin, tried to reach deep but you couldn't get in..."
Life was good. I was 11 in 1991. We moved to a huge military camp in the heart of Germany where we had everything we could need: Supermarkets, schools, playparks, a swimming pool, a cinema, vast playing fields and above all lots of kids to play with. The schools were brilliant, I enjoyed my time there. Summer was long, warm and full of things to do. I had great friends too.
1991 and 1992. The best years of my life so far.

After much deliberation, I'd have to say 93. This year had the greatest TV and other entertainment, and I was still living in my old house in the suburbs and had my old friends. I still had the luxury of sidewalks, a huge pool just around the corner, an ice cream truck, and a milkman that delivered chocolate milk. What more could a kid ask for? It was also before all that pop and rap music started. It was back when bright colored clothes were still worn by everyone in my class. It was before back when Polly Pockets and those silly Troll dolls were sold in all the stores and wooden playgrounds could still be found. I played on quite a few of them. Oh yes, and McDonalds still had the cool play places with huge climbing nets, a slide into the ball pit, and a merry go round. And they had REAL happy meals. Honest to goodness bad for you stuff right there complete with a collectable toy. And who could forget the blizzard of 93? My family was at my grandfather's house for that storm and the snowdrifts were 3 times bigger than I was! The only bad thing that happened around then was my grandmother dying but I didn't have a strong concept of death then so I thought she just went on a really long vacation for awhile until I finally figured it out. Don't laugh. I was only 5. So yeah. There's a lot more that I remember of this year and years previous that were also great, but this year just stands out the most.
Recipe for nostalgia: Mix 80's and 90's culture. Stir in some good memories. Add a dash of reflection. Mixture should now taste bittersweet. Shake well and enjoy!
I'd have to say 1998. I saw Michael Jordan and the rest of his dream team of the Chicago Bulls. My dad still had his awesome 1992 Acura Integra before it was totaled. I just remember being papmbered a lot when I was 7. There was for once no drama or stress in my life.
What I find amazing is, I remember when 1993 was as new as 2008, and how dated '93 is nowadays. It's just utterly amazing.
1993 is the first year I think of, when I think of the 90's, but my favorite year, is '94 or '96. It's just about a tie. Those seemed to be my personal best years.
Although I like this decade more than the 90s, I would go with 1999. I was out of the Boy Scouts, I was entering the 11th grade, I was buying lots of old movies and CDs, and best of all, I turned 17. I was finally able to see R-rated movies on my own. Actually, there was one thing better than all of that: It was the last year of the 90s, and since most of the decade sucked for me, I was looking forward to a new period of time.
'95 was fun, '96 was great, '97 was fucking awesome, '98 was kind of lame, but '99 was goddamn outstanding. Had a great 'going away' hook up in my hometown before I moved to Japan. Had my first cruise in the Navy, visited Guam, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and Thailand. Met the woman who married me. Spent New Year's in Roppongi.
I Would Say 1995, That Was The Year I Watched Cartoon Network, I Would Sit And Watch All Day, I Had Other Fun Memories And Went To First Grade After Kindergarten.
1998 and 1999 were good years for me. Our cable company had just added Cartoon Network, and I would zombie out to it for hours. I also had real friends for the first time in my life.

1997 is my favorite year of all time. I have the most memories from that year. I also went to Kindergarten for the first time.

1996 and 1999 were the best years for me. Both were equally fun.
Not only did you say that you were not going to post in my threads the mods said they talked to you also. Dude just stay away.
I'm not causing any trouble.
I think it's better that you just don't post in my threads, I've been staying out of yours also. Like I was going to post in the "whats your job" one. But I figure we just avoid each other and we have no problems.
