My favorite was in kindergarden. I was smurfette. I wanted to paint my whole body blue but my mom was going for it.

My kindergarten one was pretty neat. I dressed as a pirate. I remember accidentally scaring some kid who thought I was a real pirate.

In 5th grade I dressed up as an evil joker, it was just halloween make-up, fake blood, and a joker hat. Then I got an allergic reaction from the make-up.

My favorite was the one I wore in Kindergarden. I went as a cowgirl. The costume came with a giant stuffed horse that could be stepped into, so it would look like you were riding it.

I was The Silver Surfer back in '92. Grey sweatshirt and sweatpants, spray painted silver shoes and mask, and I had a cardboard surf board spray painted silver. I was awesome.

The year before I was Spiderman.

When I was in Kindergarten, I was Superman, or as I call it myself, super ethan. I'm sure I wasn't the only one in school dressed like that.

I was Casper the friendly ghost in 1971 (maybe 72). It's the only costume I can remember from back then.

The last year I went trick-or-treating I went dressed as a Mexican outlaw...complete with sombrero, a poncho, and a real sawed-off shotgun. Upon reflection, perhaps the shotgun wasn't such a good thing to be running around with afterall.

In grade school, I always got those shitty store-bought costumes, but I'd have to say my favorite costume was my Sonic the Hedgehog costume. It was nothing great - it was basically a plastic bag with Sonic's picture on the front and it tied around me like a poncho, and I also had a cheap plastic mask. Really sucky, but I wanted to pay homage to my favorite blue hedgehog.

My favorite costume ever was from when I made my costume for the first time. I sewed faux fur onto a white shirt and white pants, rooted around at the thrift store for some toy ears and went as a white rabbit. Looked really retarded, but I was proud that I sort of made my own costume. Until the tail fell off. And since I had the bright idea to draw a big pink star around my eye, I looked like I had been punched in the face for a couple days afterwards because the paint didn't come off that well.

My dad got me and my sister Spacemen Astronaut costumes. The first professional....meaning not those hot sweaty plastic bag costumes with the masks that had cheap rubber bands that would pop or slip where u can't see through the eyeholes! LOL Any 80's kid knows exactly what costumes I'm talking about! However I never got to wear it because that was the year of the Big Halloween Scare when people were supposedly putting needles in candy, razor blades in apples, and some van was going around kidnapping kids! By the next year I outgrew it.
