Just like with kids and teenagers wearing their baggy pants low around their hips with their underwear showing, which has been going on since the very early 1990s, or even the late 1980s! Now that's a VERY long time for a fad!
not to go off topic but that look is gay.

These days....more intelligence but less common sense...More situations out there for them to make stupid decisions. Parents play a roll somewhere in there.

Agreed.I see this happening at the school I go to still. They always ask me to breakdance even though I only do it when I want to.Sucks for me that they still won't stop harassing me.

No i just think parenting is getting bad.

    Agreed.

    hahaha.

see I laugh at stuff like that because I've seen for myself what its like to completely lose control of your child. It can happen to the best of us, but what really pisses me off now, is when people that don't even have kids and have never had to deal with raising a kid for at least 2 or 3 years, try and tell us who are raising one of these new generation hellions, how things are supposed to be done. Its like yeah, you're preaching to the quoire, but you try "making" that child do what he's supposed to when he's old and strong enough to start fighting you and does so out of pure disrespect due to hanging out with the wrong crowds and whatever the hell goes on at school.

Fuck this "its the parents" bullshit because you wanna know what it is for real? We can't woop the shit out these kids like our parents wooped the shit out of us.

I yelled at my dad one time, one time, he beat my ass with a belt, I never disrespected him like that again until I was around 22-23 yrs old.

Then after seeing for myself what it was like to try raising a kid you can't control (because everyone knows we can't lay a hand on our kids now, thanks for that, filthy liberals) dude, its enough to send you into depression.

I literally had to beat depression in order for me and my girl to stay together because of what her son was putting us through. I can vouch for her as being a loving, dependable, caring mother who is being put through hell and deep depression (to the point of cutting herself) because she simply can't get him to get the fuck up and go to school. Every attempt is an argument that stresses us out, well beyond the point of wanting to beat his ass, but we can't, and so we can't force him to get in the car and one time, he even went as far as jumping out of the car when I was taking him to school, while we were going about 30 miles an hour. He's fucking insane. You wanna know what its like to completely lose control? Think okay- no matter what you say, no matter what you do, no matter how you punish him, no matter how you reward him, he doesn't give a shit and he is going to do EXACTLY what he wants to do, and he is willing to go through extremely extreme extremes to show us that he means to do just that.

there you go, that's what we've been dealing with. A kid, beautiful, good looking kid that has probably 200 playstation 2 games, an Xbox 360, a nice bed, big bedroom, a couch in his room with two TVs, and all the love we could give him, but we cannot make him respect us.

I really do think he's mentally psychotic. I don't know why, I mean he's dealt with some rough shit in his life but for the most part he's had a good child-hood and I mean his dad was a Marine so his upbringing was fine.

This morning he's being hauled off to a mental institution and from there, youth detention center.

I'll be offering my thoughts later, but for now, I just want to state that we should cool it with the racist (the Asian stereotype at the beginning) and homophobic (use of the word "gay") comments. Thank you.

Its like this guy that I used to work with. He lived in the suburbs and I mean suburbs where each house is well over 150-200k and he dressed and tried to talk gangsta and it just made him look sad.

Hypocrote, there's your first problem: spoiling the damn brat with all these systems and the TVs. I bet the TVs are at least 40" , HD, digital, flat screen, AND plasma, right? and why in the world does a kid need TWO TVs in his room?

I'd start with taking away, if not selling that useless junk.

I think he was just exaggerating...
You both have a point, though. It's not all the parents fault, but spoiling your kid with a bunch of crap isn't gonna make him/her respect you. They're so used to getting everything they want that once you suddenly start telling them they having to start "earning" what they get, they're gonna respond negatively.
When (if) I ever have kids, I'll make sure that they have good people, good relationships, and good role models in their lives. That's what really matters in life at the end of the day, not having the latest edition of the IPhone or X-Box.

Oh, and fuck the liberals. If my kid acts up, they gettin smacked

Kids that use sites like Bebo, 4chan and YouTube are generally nutty and think of themselves as bigomists in a world of bigomists.

Yeah, I really can't stand them!

Short answer: Yes, kids are getting dumber. Kids are also getting more bratty and parents are getting more entitled. Therefore, it's a shitty social world right now overall.
