Okay I came up with an idea for a thread that I know is gonna make this go on forever... with one simple question.
What have you added to your retro collection this week?
I'll start.
This week I've placed orders for Captain N: The Game Master (complete series on DVD) and C.O.P.S. (also complete on DVD)
The place I ordered them from (FYE) just called and I will be picking them up today when I get off work and I'll be spending the rest of my day chillaxing watching my old saturday line-up all night with a friend of mine.
Also I've placed orders for 3 Camp Candy VHS movies on Amazon.com they should be in next week.
I recommend Crosley products if you like vintage record players, they make them in that style.
My g/f got me a beautiful Crosley record/CD/Radio/Tape player, its all cherry wood with the vintage style speaker coverings and all that...
that was the greatest Valentines present I have ever received, take notes ladies, my girl earned more cool points for getting me that than all of my X's ever had combined.
That day I went and picked up 3 records - Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, and The Eagles
I bought the original Double Dragon on my Wii last Monday.
I want to be a dentist. http://gamejunkie.com/ YouTube Channel: http://youtube.com/user/TurboDuo
Duffisk got it going on with the Jetsons and Lucy.
Anyone find anything over the weekend, maybe at a flea market or something? At my local flea market VHS tapes go for a buck each so I usually come out with like, 20 or 40, one week I came out with 56 tapes. I'd like to go one weekend when its extremely busy and look good and hard with like, at least $150 to spend... I love it, every time I go I find retro tunes that weren't there last time and its like treasure hunting, but actually finding treasure.
Captain N was friggin awesome btw.
Egg Plant had me cracking up so much and Link wasn't such a gomer in the episodes he appeared in so for anyone craving some decent Zelda action you could do like I did and get your local video store (I went to FYE in the mall) and have them order Captain N for you.
Beware though, watching Captain N is guaranteed to make you go pull out your old school NES and play some serious games...
Region 1 Canadian DVD release (just came out last month), you can get it through amazon.ca. It's awesome, I literally haven't seen this show since it originally aired back in 1980... I was beginning to think I was the only one on earth who remembered it, when BAM! Complete series DVD set is released. Now I can enjoy being 8 years old again. Oddly, even though I LIVE in Canada, none of the local retailers carried it. So I got it through ebay. Lots more on the way too, mayhaps I'll post pics as they arrive.
