    		 In 1998, I started 1st grade at age 5
    I started the homeschool group classes and learned about Spanish and Ancient Egypt
    I enjoyed reading Winnie the Pooh books
    I got a Star Wars-themed birthday cake
    I went to the hospital for pneumonia
    I was obsessed with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the movie "Flubber"
    Titanic was extremely popular, but I was only allowed to see parts of it
    It was the first year we visited our yearly vacation resort
    My brother got an Atari Jaguar

    		 In no particular order:

    My family and I first got the internet in our house.
    I was in Year 4 at school, moving up to Year 5 in September.
    I was still enjoying my Sega Saturn games console, but in May, I decided I have had enough of it and moved over to Sony PlayStation and Sega Game Gear, welcoming the Nintendo Game Boy Color into the lot later in the year.
    I enjoyed watching a wide range of cartoons on Cartoon Network, and at the same time I only watched 1 Fox Kids show: Donkey Kong Country.
    We went on vacation in France that Summer.
    Towards the end of the year, we moved to the house we live in now. I wasn't (and am still not) happy.

    		 I was 7 years old, in 1st grade and then 2nd grade. I went to one of Michael Jordan's last games with the Chicago Bulls, which was totally awesome and I'll remember it forever.

    		 I don't remember too many good things from 1998.

    All I remember was playing the Sega Saturn, PS1 and N64. My only good memory from that year.

    		 I was a junior/senior in high school in 1998. What do I remember? Being glad that I was done taking chemistry in school, playing powder-puff football and collapsing on the field with severe cramps in both my calves, and 1998 was also the year I almost lost my dad in a nasty car accident.

    I had a massive crush on my chemistry teacher back then, but he never knew it. I was pretty good at keeping it to myself. He also became a good friend of mine and I used to hang out in his chemistry room during my morning breakfasts and my lunches, all the while listening to music on his homemade radio. I remember that odd smell combination of chemicals, coffee and the cologne that he used to wear. Sigh.......

    If I recall, the first Playstation was very popular, although I never had one.

    Our local college football team; the normally sucky Idaho Vandals, actually had a big year in 1998. They beat our state-line rivals, the Washington State Cougars for the first time in ages and won the Humanitarian Bowl. It was soooo sweet!!

    Songs that played on the radio in my art class etc. included "Every Morning" by Sugar Ray, "Iris" by The Goo Goo Dolls, " "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz, "I Want It That Way" by The Backstreet Boys, "You Make Me Wanna..." by Usher, "Maria" by Blondie and "Believe" by Cher just to name a few.

    Some of my favorite movies of 1998 include "Patch Adams," "Mercury Rising," "Saving Private Ryan," "Simon Birch," "Rush Hour," "Hard Rain" and "The Apt Pupil."

    Hmmmmm.....having to clear cobwebs here.
