So many ill-achieved views. I have a question for many of you guys; of all the shows you have seen, have you guys watched more than one episode of it? I'm just curious.
Anyways, I know many people have piled all anime into a ONE cartoon title (which is absolutely unfair, since the topic at hand is "Worst Cartoon Ever" not "Worst Cartoon Genre Ever"--which, by the way, I don't agree with), but lest we forget the steaming pile of dogshit that was Tenchi in Tokyo, you know, the so-called follow-up to the wildly popular and vastly superior Tenchi Muyo! and Tenchi Universe series? Well, the characters were all the same, and that should have been enough, but for some reason, the writers thought it would be a good idea to bring into the mix an annoying, love-obsessed young teenager named Sakuya who really added nothing to the series other than to be a love rival to the other girls, particularly Ryoko and Akeya, and thus turned off the most hard-core fans of the series who hoped one or the other two main rivals would eventually wind up with Tenchi, despite the fact that, even for an anime character, I never found him the least bit good-looking (heh, if you want good-looking male anime characters, try something superior like Slayers or Dragonball Z) . Also my other problems with this series was, obviously, the way it was drawn and the storyline. The animators falsely felt that tighter, sharply-drawn lines and darker inks would be a way to go, but alas, it was not and instead of it being about a healthy mixture of love, comedy, and of course, some type of battle action, it mainly surrounded the first two (moreso 90% love and 10% comedy because although it's been nearly 6 years since I've seen this "show", I do not remember laughing), with actual fighting ending up being virtually non-existant, which is a shame, because maybe if it had been more included, perhaps there would have been a legitimate ending instead of a odd cliff-hanger involving Sakuya's split personality, Yuugi (who I may add was Sasami's best friend), being revealed.
I know that was long, and that for a series I hate, I know alot about it, but I did watch the whole series at least once hoping it would improve. We obviously know the answer.
