I agree. It's not scary, especially when compared to the first two.

When I first saw it at age 7 it scared me. I think the only reason I am not scared of it anymore is because I've seen it so many times.

did you know this caused some serious ruckus in the UK? two young 10 year old boys kidnapped a 3 year old child named Jamie Buldger from outside a shopping center and lured him 50 miles away to a special place like they thought they were Peter Pan taking him to neverland then by some railroad tracks they beat him up brutally and mutilated his face with a piece of broken railtrack, placed blue paint on his face, and shoved butteries up his mouth then when he died they put his body on the railroad tracks as they cover him with small rocks to make it look like an accident. Then a few days later after police investigated on his disappearence then the next day they arrested the two young boys, the British media thought they were imitating the climax to "Child's Play 3" thus the film got the blame from the idiotic Media in the UK that loves to blame crap for horrific crap.

Yeah, I heard about that. What a load of crap. The movie was not to blame. Those kids were just psychos to begin with. When I was a little kid I watched horror films all of the time. It never did anything bad to me. Child's Play was one of my favorite series, too. I hate how the media blames movies for people's actions.

That or videogames. Here's looking at you, Jack Thompson. That is a horrible story, regardless.

Chucky is just creepy to begin with. I hated those Goosebumps stories about Slappy or whatever the flip. My mom got me that doll that looked a lot like Chucky when Child's Play first came out -- I wish she didn't throw it out, it would be cool to still have.
Did anyone see one of the more recent Child's Play movies with Chucky wanking it? So unnecessary.. ew...

The Child Play movies are not scary at all. The are good though I will say that. The first one is the best one to me. The third one was like this again when is it going to be over with for me. The series in itself is good except for The Bride and Seed of Chucky were just stupid I don't even put them with the Chucky series. Scary nope I would say it is good and entertaining.

I agree. "Bride" and "Seed" were ruined with all the wife and kid stuff. The first three are the originals and best. And, yes, I do know what those two kids did to that 2 year-old, check-out www.CrimeLibrary.com for more info.

I'm not a fan of Chucky except for "Child's Play 2" (Much better then the original) and "Bride of Chucky" which were my favorites of the series. He's never really a scary little thing, there's plenty of other killer doll movies that did better then "Child's Play" such as "Dolls" (1987), "Magic" (The 1978 Anthony Hopkins horror flick where he's a ventriloquist with a sinister doll), "Puppet Master", "Trilogy of Terror", and even "Devil Doll (1964)".

Early episodes of Beavis and Butt-head gave Beavis and Butt-head a juvenile obsession with fire and dangerous behavior (summed up with Beavis' chant of "Fire! Fire!"). The show was blamed for a child's death which occurred in West Carrollton, Ohio in October 1993 in which a five year old boy set fire to his mother's mobile home killing his two year old sister. The child's family blamed the show (despite clearly not having a cable TV subscription) which sparked the ire of media watchdog groups. As a result, the references were excised from further broadcastings, being replaced by silly stunts, bad pick-up lines, etc. The creators took delight in sometimes making Beavis scream things that sounded very similar to his previous "Fire! Fire!", such as "Fryer! Fryer!" (when he and Butt-head are working late shift at Burger World). References to fire were cut from earlier episodes - even the original tapes were altered permanently. Other episodes MTV opted not to rerun (Examples include "Stewart's House" and "Way Down Mexico Way"). Early episodes with the controversial content intact are rare, and are traded on homemade tapes made from the original broadcasts. In an interview included with the recent Mike Judge Collection DVD set, Judge says he is unsure if some of the earlier episodes still exist in their uncensored form.sound similar huh?

None of them were ever scary to me, but I love Child's Play. Bride of Chucky was alright but they were pushin it, and then Seed of Chucky........wow, it sucked so bad. I would never watch it again.
