In 6th grade some "popular" kids tried to convince everyone that unless you stole things you were a loser. I went to the mall with my best friend and spent six hours trying to get up the nerve to steal something----anything! In the end we had a hard time even taking "free samples" ...has anyone here taken things or still do this?

Yeah I got caught lifting $1 worth of merchandise in 2006 from a Hobby Lobby (I ddin't think they'd bother putting sensors in 50 cent items). The manager actually called the police. I had to go to court but wasn't charged or anything, the judge didn't even read what I was in there for. The police officer who came was hot too.

In high school I knew a kid who would steal Playboys from Barnes and Noble. He had it down to a science, he'd sneak it off to the bathroom, and there was some kind of sensor or strip that they put on them, and he would cut or tear it out, then shove it down his pants or something, and walk right out. I don't think he ever got caught.

Barness and Noble, at the mall. Worry free, walking right into the store w/ a big blue five star notebook w/ two other friends,(now it wasnt enough that we were already playing hookey) but I grabed from the mag section, one Playboy, and one Tomb Raider 2 strategy guide. One friend kept watch in the lobby, while another follwed me behind the tall shelves where we hid to do our thing. Both magazines fit perfectly in that five star zipper secure binder. We waked right on out.

    Thank You Mead,
    No one suspected a thing.

Never shoplifted on purpose, but I did once meander off with a guitar pick from a local guitar store as a teen because I forgot I had it in my hand after trying out a nice new Fender Strat.

Nah, I've got dignity, yo. And whole wads of cash that need some spending anyway.

I used to steal a ton when I was little, me and my one friend would go to the mall, go in to Limited Too and pick out a bunch of shit we wanted to take, act like we were going into the dressing room to try something on, and remove the bar codes and shove them into our backpacks. We had this weird "the best things in life are free" mentality, HAHA. Anyways, my mom found out because we would bring bags of stuff home and have no receipt for them. I always denied it though. I stopped shop lifting years ago though...as I got older I got more scared about getting caught, so I don't do it anymore. Actually a couple months ago I stole this sweet ass magnet from Walmart, HAHA, but its very rare when I take something...and when I do its something really small and dumb. Ive never stole clothes or electronics before. The majority of the things ive stole were make up, keychains, candy....dumb stuff.

I stole a toy I wanted when I was three. You don't refuse Cambion her toys, bitch.

Otherwise, no. But I know lots of people who mastered how to steal shit from Wal-Mart - they'd sneak stuff into the bathroom, rip off bar codes and price tags and anything that the scanners would ick up, stuff it into their coat or bag, and off they went without repercussion. Also had a friend who worked at KMart and watched someone steal a whole cartful of stuff because she went out through the entrance, where there was no scanner. Whoops.

There’s still a part of me that thinks it’s OK to steal from major companies. I mean, they’re pretty much ripping us off so why not return the favor?

I shoplifted on accident once. I walked right out of the science store with a toy in my hand. I made it all the way to the car before I realized I still had it in my hand. I went back and gave it back. I was so embarrassed! Ooops.

Oh yeah I forgot, I used to work at this place called Hastings and stole stuff from there all the time, mostly CDs.

I do not think it is wrong to steal stuff from a major corporation. They make so much money while screwing people over, the little guy should screw them over once in a while.
