Just because you say it's not a "things of today suck" thread doesn't mean it's actually not one.

Nobody told me you could be completely talentless and make millions...apparently Soulja Boy makes it work for him.

It also doesn't mean that it wouldn't quickly turn into one.

People who get tattoos should be mature enough to not give a fuck if it's cool or not.

I don't get text messaging. It's easier and probably cheaper to just call somebody up to chat for a minute or ask a quick question than it is to sit there and type it out first. Plus, I hate that it makes teenagers typ lik dis lol r u goin 2 da mall 2nite?!

I understand pretty much everything, all the trends and whatnot. They are just that...trends. Even though I am not really a part of mass culture I still understand how it works for the most part, something catches on for some reason and it's marketed to death because it's all about $$$. There's really nothing to "get", though you may ask why that particular thing became popular (like emo music) and not something else.

As for things that have to do with technology, it's to be expected. I don't really like those Bluetooth earpieces because unless you see the thing, it looks like the person is talking to themselves. But I think those earpieces will get more popular as the years go on.

I guess I don't get why so many kids now have peanut allergies and why a lot of kids have autism. But no one does, and if they do they're not speaking.
    GHITI is pronounced "fish".

I don't get why cell phones need mp3 players, cameras, to play movies, text messaging, etc. What's wrong with a phone being used as a phone?

Sorry, you're showing your ignorance here, imo. Teen shows have always been stupid to some extent since it's usually a comedy series.

I think the main reason for this is because film makers know what movies were the cash cows 20 years ago and realize they will appeal to a much wider demographic if they re-make said films. Think about it - when movies that were opular 20 years ago first came out, they were starting from square one as far as building up their fanbase. Now, with remakes (and few to no bloopers), film makers can appeal to the current generation as well as those people who were fans two decades ago.

I don't understand the point of those teeny tiny purses that pretty much fit snug against the armpit and can hold all of about ten cents. I also don't understand the trend of girls wearing mini skirts in the middle of winter.
