    Probably either Robotech or Voltron.

    Sailor Moon.

God I remember when my mom would buy me knock-off sailor moon merch at the dollar stores in the town we lived in then. Good times. My favourite back then was Rei. I still like the franchise a lot, my favourite now is Minako.

Wow, I have some early memories of Speed Racer, Robotech (did they air it on MTV or something?) and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. But when I got to the age of recognizing anime as a genre, it would have to be DBZ.

Hamtaro. My first mahou shojou anime was, believe it or not, Magical DoReMi!

I forget which one I saw first when Sci-Fi (not SyFy) used to air Saturday anime but it was narrowed down to one of the following:

    Project: Lily C.A.T.
    Iria: Zeiram the Animation
    Roujin Z

    What was your first anime?

Either The Mysterious Cities of Gold or Adventures of the Little Koala.
Both were staples of the daily programming on Nickelodeon in the late '80s.

If films count, the original English dub of My Neighbor Totoro (80s release) was my first exposure to Japanese animation, and it absolutely captivated me. Everything from the imaginative story to the breathtaking art and unforgettable soundtrack gave it a permanent place in my heart
, and serves as one of my earliest examples of happy nostalgia.

This was eventually followed by many other Ghibli films, and all the "big" 90s anime shows, like Pokemon, Digimon, Sailor Moon, and eventually Inuyasha.

Technically it was Gigantor since my brother and I borrowed the VHS from my uncle all the time when we were kids. Then we got really in to "G Force" which was on Cartoon Network for many years. The first really adult anime I got in to was "Vampire Hunter D" when it aired on Cartoon Network during a week long marathon of anime movies.

I remember Hamtaro and Magical DoReMi. My first anime, however, was Pokemon. I turned on the TV one Saturday in the morning and there it was! I loved it!
Yeah, it's Yuuki. Got a problem with that?
