This is a thread devoted to this game. Who's excited for this game to be released? I sure as hell am. I love Melee. I wonder what characters are gonna be on Brawl though.

There is also a new item called the Assist Trophy. It works like the pokeball except instead of pokemon coming out, a nintendo character comes out to fight your opponents.

There is a new Adventure Mode called the Subspace Emissary. There is a new enemy called the Ancient Minister and his Subspace Army. It shows that Petey Pirhana is part of the army. You must battle him as kirby in order to save Princess Peach or Princess Zelda. Each character has a part in this that is different.

And I'm glad the Devil from Devil World's going to be an 'assist trophy', whatever the hell those are.
An assist trophy is like the pokeball. You throw the pokeball, a pokemon comes out, and it does something. Sometimes it is helpful and other times they aren't. Instead of pokemon coming, a nintendo character will come out and do something. Sometimes they will help you and other times they aren't very much help.

No. No one creating the game never said that. That's just what some people want. So far, all the characters that haven't been confirmed are just rumors and speculation. No one ever said that Game and Watch is out or that Windwaker Link is in it. Like I said before the only that is known is that some characters will not be returning. Nothing has been said about which characters are not returning.

quite true, come to think of it, lol i never really did find out where the sources came from, although I kinda think that windwaker link will replace young link since phantom hourglass is being released, but thats just by my instinct
You can play with friends or with any random person from around the world. However, when battling with random people, you are not allowed to communicate with one another.
I feel a little worried about the long loading times between great distances. I hope Nintendo fixes this problem later on (if it becomes really drastic)!
I am such a prude, I don't think I could ever play the game with those Wiimote things. I'd rather just go the old fashioned route.
you are missing out big time then, because the Wiimote is badass!!! there is no reason to be scared, it's not gonna bite you... for Brawl, they have 4 different controller options... you can use the Wiimote or the Gamecube controller, or you can switch to southpaw... your choice!!!

Game and Watch won't be coming back... they had an official report on IGN not long ago that said he was one that would not be returning... it would be cool if he did come back but i could care less
