That's pretty hard for me to remember, but I think the first R-rated movie I've seen was with my grandparents in a drive-in movie theater around 1986. (Remember it like it was yesterday!)
My grandad had an old 77' Ford F150 that we went in. We backed the truck up and would sit in the back, all three of us watched some movie (don't recall what) which had a pretty good amount of profanity and semi-nude scenes.
Although they took me to see it, my grandmother would shout 'Cover your eyes!' when a bad scene would come on, or 'Cover your ears!' when they'd curse. I still heard _everything_ and saw _everything_, and my grandmother knew. She did it more for fun.
This was back in 1986 I think, at one of the last drive-ins at Los Angeles.
Sorry I couldn't recall the movie, but really wanted to share the experience with you all.
