Well i am, i think this could be the beginning of a new Halloween franchise that pays dearly to the first two movies and forgets that parts 3 to Resurrection ever existed like Zombie stated. If this is a new franchise, he should have Michael die in this one then maybe Carpenter should join and make the franchise into a series of different horror movies each about the halloween holiday instead of Michael much like "Halloween 3" tried to do.

I was never a fan of the original, so it doesn't bother me that they're remaking it. Rob Zombie is pretty creative, i think he'll make an entertaining version.

i'm skeptically looking forward to this. i love the original, probably my favorite of the original slasher movies. as long as it's a re-imagination of the original, not a remake i think rob will do it justice. and with rob i'm sure there will be plenty of gore.

I'm probably the only person here that thought Rob Zombie's movies were highly overrated. I like Captain Spaulding, and thats it.

The scene where he yells at the kid about why he doesnt like clowns was gold.

Other than that, I wasn't impressed. So in short, I'm not excited.

No, since this really is not one of my favorites in the genre and the fact that Rob is directing the thing, so it would probably stay too close to the original. Plotlines have not advanced enough to come up with something clever like what some 80's horror remakes did to 50's films where plotlines could be different. Slashers are not the best thing to remake anyways. He would probably just make it do what some of the sequels did and leave no suspense and just put in buckets of the red stuff unlike the first film, which was the other way around. The film that should not be remade though is Scanners. When I heard about that one I screamed because of some the same reasons and the fact that Cronenberg would probably criticize it to no end, since he opposed the idea before when it tried to get remade. Death to 00's remakes!

YES!!! I was very impressed after I saw The Devil's Rejects. I know the buzz about Halloween is pretty controversial. From fans of Zombie and Halloween. I don't care. I love Rob's music and movies. Can't wait to see what he does with Halloween. After doing House of 1000 Corpses he learned and grew as a movie director. So I'm sure he'll do great with Halloween. Guess we'll all have to wait and see.

I am going to be a dink and say that the idea of having another Director do a movie such as Rob Zombie re-make or re-form the series is kinda lame. I mean I am a HUGE Bond fan, and love all of them. For example "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was by far the lamest, George Lazanby or whatever his name is lasted one film. AND HE SUCKED! But I do hope that Rob Zombie does a fine job.

I'm looking forward to it a little. I read about some of the changes that will happen in this movie that are different from the original. Rob said that Michael will not be driving in this one and also Michael will kill about four relatives in the younger years. There's alot more like his mask is different it's still white but it has cuts and scraps it in. Because they said Michael had the mask when he was little and he buried the mask in the basement of is house. Also Dr. Loomis has changed and Laurie's character has changed a little she has more of a attitude and one more thing the final fight scene is in a pool and not a house. So a lot has changed from the original even the years has changed. I'll be there on opening day I just hope it's not a disappointment.

I am really looking forward to this. I think this movie has the potential of breathing new life into the franchise. I am also very confident that Rob Zombie knows horror and will do a fine job with the movie. And even if it's mediocre, I'm sure it will be much better than half of the horror films that have been churned out lately.
