why i'm i the only one to vote. Squirtle, i go by how they look as they evolve

    basic:squirtle, charmander, bulbasaur
    1st stage:wartutle, ivysaur, charmeleon
    2nd stage:Charizard, Blastoise, Venasuar
This isn't a surrender, this is what in the military we call a total a$$ kicking

dude that order is so wrong on so many levels.

    also, moved to video games.

I was looking at evolution paths. Sorry.

I picked Charmander because everyone told me he would be the strongest. Let me say it was a great big pain in the backside trying to beat Brock with Charmander (which became Charmeleon after five or six defeats), but I did it. When I reset my game, I tried with Squirtle - he was okay, but I still prefer Charmander and his evolutions.

Yep yep, since grass beats water and water beats fire. That's the only way I can remember the order.

Anyway, my favorite was Zenigame!! (Just like to say that). I always favored water types and ice types.

If you like to do some SERIOUS levelling up in red/blue pokemon and all experience points are like ~50-100 per wild pokemon battle, then yes nidoran is a good choice. ^_^ (hint: nidorans learn double kick sooner in the yellow version)

but yeah I'd advise Mankey over nidorans in any case. He's fighting for starters, so double-kick would get a 1.5x damage bonus for using a type of attack the same type as the pokemon using it, not to mention an additional 2x bonus for each hit, cos fighting > rocks.
