For those of you fans who love the Disney films, sadly it was 40 years ago today, Walt Disney, the man behind the magic of Mickey Mouse has died. He died on December 15th, 1966. If you like to see the whole story about his life behind the animated cartoons and feature films, here is a bio in Wikipedia:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walt_Disney

I had been a Disney fan since I was born, because I love the movies so much. The first Disney film I went to see since I was born was the re-release of "Pinocchio" and "The Small One" which was before that. I first got into Disney since I was a few months old, and I love the books and records that I usually grew up on and things like that cherished all of my fond memories.

Walt was great guy who made Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and many others including "Snow White", the first animated feature film ever. Walt did his best. I've seen him on TV since I was a kid where the Disney Channel used to carry reruns of old TV shows. I remember when WNYW-TV (Channel 5) used to air reruns of the syndicated WWOD where they usually ran episodes from previous anthology shows like "Disneyland", "Walt Disney Presents", "Wonderful World of Color", "Wonderful World of Disney" (after he died), "Disney's Wonderful World" and "Walt Disney". I hope Walt should live on for generations to come.

We had been surely missed from back you were born, or during their high school or elementry school. Here's to that great man.

Yeah..it's sad that he died so young (like 65 or something). Too bad The Disney Channel doesn't show all those older cartoons anymore. It would be fun to see them.

Or so they say... do you count them as dead if their brain has been cryogenically suspended?

I miss Walt Disney, he was a genius at making things for the whole family. When I look at the Disney Channel now, I see nothing but teen shows and lame cartoons on now. Walt would of never approved of that. I say they should do a tribute to Walt on the Disney channel every year on the 15th but I freaking doubt it since they are too busy with Hannah Montana and other run of the mill shows.

Yeah, he's not dead his brain is just cryogenically frozen. When it gets defrosted (we need to find somebody who looks like him, and is willing to give up their brain for his), he'll be back to making all those great cartoons once again .

Walt Disney was a icon but he would be appalled at what the company has become today.

It's hilarious to think the above quote was made by gustogummi on his old account...the same person who would get on people for complaining about new shows, and tell them to grow up.

Probably the same place where movies like Song of the South and these clips are kept.
