Yeah and I'm not that brave. I've seen the "Teeth" PSA and oooooooooo no, I won't be doing that again. PSAs in the dark are not a good thing

There's this PSA from the late 80s/early 90s from Partnership for a Drug-Free America. It's a grown ballerina dancing, but she can't keep her balance. The voiceover is a child going, "When I grow up, I want to be a ballerina," and an adult male voiceover says, "No one ever says 'I want to be a junkie when I grow up.'" And the ballerina collapses with a look of anguish on her face while the background music has a Friday the 13th kind of vibe to it.

Scared the CRAP out of me growing up! But I can't find it anywhere!! If anyone knows where it is, you will be forever loved!

**note** They also had different versions of this PSA, such as track star, nurse, millionaire, etc.

On the website I posted earlier, just click on the picture of the lady's face right above the word "Teeth".

The scariest Smokey I remember is the one that starts with a wide shot of Earth and then zooms in for a closeup with a voiceover going in the background going 'Of all the planets we know, only Earth has a forest'....and then there was more voiceover as you hear a chorus of getting louder and louder in the background until finally it stops dead at the forest and a giant animated Smokey comes up from behind the treeline and utters his immortal 'Only You!'.

It scares me to this day. I get the shivers just thinking about it.

I think one of the "scariest" I remember seeing as a kid, was one of those ones for drugs. The lady was at a pool. She dived off the diving board, but she was so high, she didn't realize that the pool was empty. It used to scare me some because of that ominous music playing in the background.

As for disturbing, that PSA with PeeWee Herman talking about crack creeped me out. lol

Drunk driving PSAs scared me. There were a lot of those when I was a kid. Also, the pot saw blade PSA one. It's the one where this kid handling a saw blade is talking about how pot doesn't affect him, and it fades to black with the most horrific sound.

The scariest public service announcement so far is the American Red Cross one which had a homeless family whose house got burned down during a Thanksgiving feast. The public service announcement fades to that of a white background with the current American Red Cross logo, followed by the logos for Circle K and American Girl.
