Super Mario Kart ran pretty fast on the SNES, even on the demonstration in the commercial.

I cant even imagine how obnoxious it would be to have to run behind a speeding drag racer just to play sega genesis.

Judging from the wikipedia article i read about it, the commercial could go like this:

Sega Genesis has Blast processing. It is the ability for the CPU to work on one visible section of map while the graphics processor displays another. Since only the visible part of the map is uploaded at any one time, this feature increases the distance that the map can scroll from one frame to the next, resulting in a slightly higher refresh speed and unnoticably higher effeiency than Nintendo\'s processing units. Isn\'t that awesome to the MAX, kids?

These commercials were so retarded. Just because you have a system that has better graphics (or \"blast processing\", which doesn\'t even exist), doesn\'t make it a better system. The major difference between the SNES and the Genesis was that SNES had better games!

Yeah, Blast Processing does NOTHING. It doesn\'t exist.
Pesho_Zmiata Posted 13 years 2 months ago
Heey, that doesn\'t explain what blast processing does...

I had this on tape somewhere, but I guess they edited the commercial in 1993 because I spotted Sonic Spinball, which was released that year.
