The Sun Country Wine's Mascott was that bear,because before the 90's there was no laws that stated that cartoon caracters or childrens icons can be used. Taake for example Joe Camel, he no longer exist.
As for thetaking the head off, many celebraties used to advertise that wine product (most of those celebrities I never knew, yet my parents did) so it was like a mystery comercial, "Who is the celebrity under the mask"
