2005...the year for Star Wars

An article on Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

I am a huge Star Wars fan. And as a kid I loved the Prequels, especially Revenge of the Sith.

I know a lot of people do not like Prequels--but this is not what the article is about. This article is about all the action figures and toys I had based on Star Wars Episodes III: Revenge of the Sith.

I was 10 when this film came out in 2005, and my parents took me to see it on opening day and I freaking loved it! My family and I saw it 7 times in theaters which is the most times we ever went to the theater to see a particular film.

For me, it was a step up from Attack of the Clones and I consider it to be the best of the Prequels and arguably the best Star Wars film ever to date.

I also remember the hype for Episode III being much bigger than the hype for Episode II and arguably bigger than the hype for Episode I. I remember between April to June 2005, you couldn't go anywhere without seeing Star Wars merchandise in stores. To this day, the hype for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was the biggest I ever saw and it was the most excited I had ever been for a movie.

Action Figures That I Have:

Obi-Wan Kenobi:

I also loved seeing Obi-Wan as a Jedi Master in these movies and it was exciting to see him in action as well. I thought Ewan McGregor did an excellent job portraying a much younger and youthful Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Anakin Skywalker:

It was also great to see Anakin Skywalker as a padawan and Jedi Knight in these movies. Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor make a better duo than Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor. Hayden Christensen is a much better actor than Jake Lloyd even though I liked kid Anakin.

Shaak Ti:

General Grievous:

I thought General Grievous was an excellent Star Wars villain as well and I loved how he had four arms and four lightsabers! I thought he was so cool and scary at the same time as a 10-year old kid!

Mace Windu:

Seeing Mace Windu kick butt with his purple lightsaber was exciting as well.

Saesee Tiin:

Emperor Palpatine:

And of course, Ian McDiarmid did an excellent job playing Chancellor/Emperor Palpatine. It was so exciting seeing him finally turn into Darth Sidious!

Aayla Secura:

Padme Amidala:

Anakin Skywalker:

Lightsabers that I have:

Anakin Skywalker:

Count Dooku:

Mace Windu:

I loved playing with these lightsabers as a kid. Me and brother would both pretend to be Jedi and he would be Mace Windu and I would be Anakin Skywalker. We'd also invite our cousin over to play Star Wars and he would be Count Dooku. We would pretend to go on missions together and we would have to defeat Count Dooku at the end. We would also get in imaginary lightsaber fights and pretend that Mace Windu and Anakin would fight each other.

Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter:

I loved playing with Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Starfighter as a kid. I use to reenact the scenes where Anakin Skywalker would go on a mission to defeat General Grievous and go on imaginary missions with this thing!

Mustafar Final Duel Playset:

As a kid, I used to love reenacting the big lightsaber duel between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar at the end of Episode III. I also used to make up lightsaber duels between Anakin and Obi-Wan!

Darth Vader Voice Changer:

I loved this Darth Vader helmet as a kid. When me, my brother, and my cousin would get into lightsaber battles, I would pretend to be Darth Vader and they would have to defeat me. The helmet would also change your voice to Darth Vader's voice and you say a lot of his lines he said in the movies!

Revenge of the Sith Burger King Toys:

Remember in 2005 when Burger King did a big tie in selling toys for Episode III? I sure do!

Me and my family would always go to Burger King around that time of the year just so we could collect all the Star Wars toys they had in their happy meals.

Eventually, I collected every single character they had!

Who remembers all the Star Wars M&M's products in 2005?:

Well, that's all the merchandise I own from this movie and that concludes the article on Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Please leave me your thoughts on the article and thanks for reading!
