Would you say that Creed is one of the greatest rock bands of all time?

Think about it, the band has sold over 48 million records in the United States and 96 million records worldwide. Their first three studio albums, My Own Prison (1997), Human Clay (1999), and Weathered (2001) were all hugely commercially successful albums and have all gone mult-platinum. Their second studio album, Human Clay (1999) was a massive critical and commercial success and has been certified 13x Platinum by the RIAA and has sold over 34 million copies worldwide. The album was responsible for popularizing the Post-Grunge movement in the Late 1990's/Early 2000's and is one of the biggest selling rock albums of the 1990's. Their follow up album, Weathered (2001) became the fastest selling album ever in history, having sold 2,887,000 copies in its first week of release. It has also been certified 8x Platinum by the RIAA and has sold over 24 million copies worldwide. The band is widely known for several of their rock hits, many which have become rock radio staples such as "With Arms Wide Open," "Higher," "One Last Breath," "One," "My Own Prison," "My Sacrifice," "Who's Got My Back," "Never Die," "What's This Life For," "In America," "Stand Here with Me," "Say I," and "Weathered."

Despite the band's huge success in the Late 1990's/Early 2000's, Creed was widely criticized for being a terrible rip-off band off of the bands from Seattle Grunge movement in the Early 1990's. Critics criticized the band's lead singer, Scott Stapp vocals and thought he was trying to copy Eddie Vedder's vocals in his music.

Despite all of this, Creed became one of the most commercially successful rock acts of the Late 1990's/Early 2000's and were arguably the most successful band of the decade. They were far bigger than any other 1990's alternative rock act ever were and the band was able to sell almost 100 million records worldwide within five years. If they never broke up and kept making music, they would have went on to become something much bigger.
