The dog is a genius named Mr.Peabody and his human companion is named Sherman. Together they built the machine you see behind them, "The Wayback" time machine. Together Mr. Peabody and Sherman traveled through time and witness funny events in history. They were the filler cartoon on the old Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. That's why you see me most of the time on Memory Lane. That's where I go when I step through the Wayback machine!
