I grew up in the 90's I watched a lot of saturday morning cartoons, since we never had cable that was the only time you ever got to see anything good. I always got into the action cartoons Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Biker Mice, Stone Protectors, Skeletons Warriors, and so forth. But I had only ever seen a few episodes of any of these shows throughout my whole life, what really brought me into the world of these cartoons were the action figures. My parents bought my brother tons of action figures we had mainly, He-Man, TMNT, Bucky O'Hare, and Batman, But as I grew older seeing more and more shows even if only a few episodes I was hooked, so we bought more and more actions randomly now I've got Earthworm Jim, Thundercats, Stone Protectors, Double Dragons, Toxic Avengers, Captain Planet, lots of crap. And somehow we got into the Marvel Universe, influence by my dad I guess, and they almost seemed to be the best action figures so a lot of my collection consists of marvel. Also Wrestling my dad loved his wrestling and still does, he still thinks its real. We got into WCW and old 80's WWF so i've had over the years many wrestling figures as well. I still have all my figures and I think that's what has kept me dwelling into the shows and movies of the 80's and early 90's, I love it it's like a lifestyle, but more of a hobby i try to collect everything I can to take me back to a time when i was a young and a time when i didn't even exist. I've seen countless movies that many people haven't heard of but mainly I draw to the eighties fantasy sword and sorcery type, or post apocalyptic films, and cheesy action films are always good. |
