Episode Title: Waldorf Salad
Episode Plot
Basil is facing complaints from the guests about the quality of food, and just as he starts provoking arguments, an English woman and her American husband (Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton) check in and ask if they can have a meal, even though the kitchen closes at 9pm. Basil reluctantly agrees and asks Terry if he can stay a bit longer. However, Terry is off on a date and Basil is left to make the food himself. The Hamiltons ask for a drink called a 'screwdriver' which Basil is unfamiliar with. Mr. Hamilton then orders a Waldorf Salad, prompting Basil to say, "Sorry, we're out of Waldorfs". After much confusion and worry over making the salad, Basil pretends to have a go at Terry and Mr. Hamilton discovers the truth. The couple (and all the guests) confront Basil in the reception. He leaves in the pouring rain, but returns demanding breakfast in bed. "A Waldorf Salad with lashings of hot Screwdriver".
