Episode Title: The Wedding Party
Episode Plot
It's Manuel's birthday and everyone has a reason to be happy! Apart from Basil who is being increasingly frustrated by Sybil's lack of assistance, a young couple desperate for a double room and a French woman who has grown to like Basil. The following morning, Manuel (who is quite drunk) makes a mess of the meals at breakfast and passes out. Basil puts him in the kitchen and sees to another, older, couple who have checked in. That afternoon, Basil spots the young woman (Jean) hugging another man (her father, whom Basil is unaware of) and becomes worried. Later, he walks in on Polly the maid (a friend of the family) hugging Jean's father and almost goes insane. He tells the family to pack their bags and leave, but Sybil tells him about what he saw. Realising this, Basil stops them from leaving and wishes them good luck for the wedding. After going to bed at night, Basil is woken up by a noise which Sybil thinks is a burglar. Downstairs, Basil whacks the intruder (which is a still drunk Manuel) with a frying pan just as the family returns from the wedding.
