Episode Title: A Touch of Class
Episode Plot
Basil is desperate to bring an 'establishment of class' to the hotel, but his venom-tongued wife Sybil is against it. However, Basil thinks his plan has worked when 'Lord' Melbury checks in. Meanwhile, on an errand, Polly (the maid) spots current hotel guest Mr. Brown. He reveals he is an undercover agent working for the CID and that the so-called 'Lord' is a con-man. After a few days of sucking up to Melbury, Basil is informed by Sybil of Polly's news. At first, he does not believe them until the contents of the suitcase are found. Basil becomes enraged at Melbury who is accidentally hit by Manuel (the waiter) and is soon arrested. Unfortunately, a real Lord had turned up and immediately left. Basil finally takes his remaining anger out on a guest who had been ordering drinks all day.
