Episode Plot
When a woman in need of a kidney transplant is touring San Francisco, a doner kidney becomes available for her in Los Angeles. The woman must be located and rushed to Los Angeles before the donor kidney expires.
A teenage boy is found floating face-down in the cold-water refridgerator of his father's fishing boat, apparently having passed out due to a freon gas leak. The boat is so far offshore that the nearest helicopter is 45 minutes away.
Two officers patroling the streets are looking for teens out after curfew, when they spot man carrying gun. When they pull up to talk to him, he opens fire, wounding one officer in the head and the other in the hand. The less seriously wounded officer manages to shoot the suspect and call for help on the radio.
When a girl gets her tongue stuck in a glass bottle, responding paramedics are unable to pull the bottle off. Doctors bring in a skilled glass cutter to safely break the bottle without injuring the girl's tongue in the process.
