Tragedy Chapter 1 Dale ran through the woods. He could clearly hear Chip and Gadget calling his name, but he didn't stop. Luckily for hm, the wind blowing past his ears drowned out their voices. He was sure Foxglove was flying overhead, looking for him. Right now, he despised her. He didn't want anything to do with her at the moment. He couldn't stand her. He kept running until he reached the Rescue Rangers headquarters. He ran to his and Chip's room and locked himself in the closet. When he was safely inside, he screamed at the top of his lungs in agony until he was hoarse. He stopped for a while, breathing heavy. He looked down at his ripped apart shirt. He could still smell the whiskey and the new car scent on himself. The combination of the two clogged his nostrils, disgusting him. He gagged as his eyes watered and he coughed loudly as the smell overstuffed his nose. He found a spray can of air freshener and sprayed it around the crowded space, making the room smell better to him. He heard the door open and heard voices. "If I ever get a hold of Dale, I swear to God I'll strangle him," Chip mumbled. "Now, Chip, I'm sure he had his reasons," Gadget replied. "What reason could he have for calling the cops and breaking up the party?" Chip demanded. "Maybe something went wrong." "Like what?" "I don't know. Maybe he got into a fight or something with Foxglove." Dale nodded. Gadget was right about him having something do with Foxglove, but it wasn't a fight. What had happened to him had scared the living crap out of him. There was nothing that he could've done. She just kept licking and kissing and licking and kissing. She wouldn't stop. He'd asked her to "knock it off" but she wouldn't listen to him. "How could that happen?" Chip went on. "They get along so great." "True," Gadget agreed. "But you never know. Their relationship could be going downhill." "Do you think it's because of the time strain?" "What do you mean?" "I mean, Dale has to wait until nightfall for Foxglove and they don't really get to see each other during the day." "True," "It could be because of that," "It could," "We should probably get some rest. It's late." "Good idea, Chipper," Dale heard the door close, telling him that Gadget had left the room. He slightly opened the door to see Chip climbing into his bed. Chip looked around for Dale, but finally laid down and went to sleep. Dale decided to do the same. He pushed a few things aside and curled up on the floor of the closet and went to sleep.
