My YouTube Downloader software stopped working for me as well.. then I installed Real Player SP which can also download streamed video. Maybe you can try it out?

I can't download ANYTHING. I'm not the only one this has impacted...My Mom loves computer games (puzzle games and stuff like that), but she's not able to download anything anymore. This seems a little screwy.

That's odd... if you're connected to the internet, technically you should be able to download information. It's probably an issue with the browser.. or maybe you have a Firewall installed that likes to block everything.
