This was an 80s cartoon having a huge mecha robot that would emerge from a swimming pool of a mansion, while its owner, a teenager, would pilot a small flying craft to mate with the head of the robot. The robot looked similar to Grandizer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandizer).

This is killing me! I hate when I have 80s flashbacks and can't figure out the name of the show.

    Thanks!

Thanks Seth Koopa and Takineko... my previous search didn't include "pool" so that's why I couldn't find it. I did a second search now and found the previous discussions (http://www.retrojunk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12348 and http://www.retrojunk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2763). It's Tranzor Z. I looked at the intro on YouTube... boy oh boy... how utterly corny! I can't believe I actually watched that show. Amazing how one sees things differently at age 10.

Ah, that was it! Glad you found it. I was thinking of just that but I'm lousy at searching. And yeah, one does see things differently as a kid. Movies I remember from when I was a kid are nothing like I remember them most of the time.

npa412, do you mind if I ask what state you went to elementary school in? Cause I used to know a kid whose initials were N.A. and we watched that show and used to make up our own characters and draw robots with whips and spiked balls and chains etc. lol it would be hilarious if you were him.

Ok you're probably not him then. I'm from Kentucky and this kid moved to Indiana like in 2nd grade.
