"The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe"
If anyone remembers watching or reading this fantasy series, they are coming out with a movie version in January I believe.

Yeah! If you're talking about the cartoon version I used to watch that a lot.

But this new Movie, shouldn't they have made "The Magicians Nephew" First. I mean it WAS the first of the series wasn't it?
Like the Hobbit to the Lord of the Rings (Which they better make soon with the same Bilbo).

I saw an ad for the movie and it is comming out in Dec of '05 so we have got a year....but Willie Wanka and the Choclate Factory is also comming out and Johnny Depp is playing Willie Wonka.

I heard about that too..I loved the Willie Wonka movie. I think Johnny Depp is a great choice. He's just as eclectic in real life as the character is.

Tim Burton ("Edward Scissor Hands" and "Nightmare Before Christmas";) is directing it! So not only is it going to be creative (and weird) on an almost scary scale, but Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka..... Holy Crap!

If you do, there is just one thing to remember.
Read the entire set. There are 6 Narnia books, and the story doesn't really come together unless you read all 6, in order.

I did a paper on it in college, actually. Its amazing how well things come together when you take the series as a whole.

I remember seeing the animated movie in gradeschool. (Just barely though) The whole "Chronicles of Narnia" thing is new to me though, I never relized until recently that it was part of a larger series.

Yeah, if you read 'em all, it explains things like where the magic wardrobe came from, why there is a lampost in the woods, and everything else. Its VERY nicely done.

I saw the previews for that one. Looks like it'll be a good one. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe was one of the only books I read for fun.
