OKAY. So these sketches i did don't really have anything to do with retrojunk - but i thought i'd post them anyway.
Since i'm still new at sketching portraits and the sort i'm still visual referencing - a habit I can hopefully kick in a few months.

This one's finished - just couldn't be bothered scanning the finished result.

This guy is my latest, still unfinished.

This was done for a friend's music project, the birds are my favourite.

andddd - a whole lot of old unfinished drawings, which i ended up loosing interest in :S i AM terrible at finishing things.

Very nice! They look like they were done in charcoal. Were they?
Unfinished sketches have a certain charm. :D I like seeing process work.
I am deranged, but so, so playful!

No, none were done in charcoal it's just the way my scanner scanned them I think - it's always doing silly things with the brightness. I usually sketch with a HB or 3B. Thank-you all for you comments! I apprieciate the feedback :)

Thank you! Well, the first was just a photo i found while scouring the internet for sketching material, and the other is a up-and-coming australian designer i think. His photo i found reading a magazine. Once i get good enough i really want to start drawing out of my own head haha.

Cool, It must be hard to randomly come up with new people in your head and draw them. Such a talent to have though. 8)

I have a tin of pencils from 2H to 8B but my favourites are HB and 3B. The shading of these pictures aren't correct because of my scanner. The brand of pencils i use are Mont Marte.

Thank you Reaper :) Your right, the drawings i have tried to draw out of my head are no where near as realistic as some of the one i've previously done.

Thats good! I havn't done pencil shading in so long, I've been coloring stuff on the computer so much I havn't been using my pencils, just a mechanical pencil.

Aaaah. Colouring on the computer sounds complicated? I've never actually coloured any one of my sketches, just because i'm scared i'll reck what i spent so many hours drawing :S I've seen your drawings - they're wonderful!

Well it was hard to color on the computer at first, but my friend gave me the program Open Canvas and taught me how to use it, now I color everything in there, its pretty easy. Its also helpful because when you make mistakes and wreak your drawing, you can undo LOL
