Picture sizes in artricles

    When I upload a picture to an article, does the site automatically make the picture into a bearable size (not too big, not too small) so people can see it, or do you have to make the adjustments yourself? I asked since I wanted to use a picture I took from a DVD as my avator pic. It was under the megabyte limit, however it had too many pixels? I was asking just in case something similar would happen if I start to write an article?

    I know that it resizes for the maximum height, but I dunno about width.

    You should probably do the re-sizing yourself anyway, because a picture might end up looking crappy because of the re-sizing, as happened to the pages I scanned from comics in one of my articles.

    The site will automatically resize the pictures when you upload them.
