Remember Leatherhead. He was a baddie in the original. In the new one He's a good guy with a bad temper.

Eheh. I think the old April's hotter. Journalists really do it for me. And you gotta love jumpsuits. :D

Splinter? Ew. I guess the old one, cos his robe was cooler.

Sorry I hate to be a turd in somebodys corn flakes here but I like the storylines and character development of the new toon much better. In the new toon they actully fight instead of just having some slapstick antics with their villian of the day/week storyline. There are things I don't like about the new toon but they make it up for about 5 things I like about it.

I love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Especially the old and original series of TMNT. The newer ones are ok but nothing beats the classic cartoons.

Woah, revived after a year!

Nostalgia aside, the new cartoon is a much higher quality show in terms of animation, art style, and writing. It's also much closer to the original TMNT comics, which arguably makes it more retro than the old cartoon. It's like the original 80s comics never had a show until now and the old cartoon was just a bad imitation.

    Agreed.

I was pretty happy to see "Return To New York" and "City At War" in the new series. Also, Usagi Yojimbo's guest appearances were a nice nod to both the original cartoon and the old 80s indie comics days.

I haven't watched the new series since the season finale where Shredder was finally defeated. I'll DVD 'em eventually, just don't have the time or money now.

No kidding. It was even nice to see some of the less important stories from the comics make it in, like The People's Choice, Sons of The Silent Age, and The Christmas Aliens. Not to mention a properly done Baxter, Rat King, and Leatherhead. Kudos to the writers for getting Miyamoto Usagi's name right, too!

I think the new series has done a great job of tieing most of the various nearly unrelated stories from the comics into a more coherent story. I still regret that it's not quite as gritty as the comics, but I think the overall plot is better constructed.

I like everything Ninja Turtles, old new you name it. The storys of the new series got better and better every season. I was really getting excited for the Ninja Tribunal storyline until it was replaced by Fast Forward. As long as they release it on dvd Im good. As for fast forward, its ok and its also cool the little references they include from the 90s, like Bebop and the Cowboys of Moo mesa.

I'm sure the new cartoons aren't bad. But I just miss Rocksteady and Bebop, the best thing about the old TMNT in my opinion.
