Yeah. I had to find the perfect picture of him.
    Starscream: Megatron?! Is that you?!
    Galvatron: Here's a hint!
    (Zaps Starscream into dust)
Galvatron: Will anyone else attempt to fill his shoes?

Unfortunately, I think Porsche, like VW, doesn't want their vehicles in this film. I'm guessing GM put in a low bid for them to use their lineup since the movie's shaping up to be one giant GM commercial.

As far as that Jazz design, I'm sort of in the middle. He's too busy and pointy. Those claws look retarded as hell and I still can't tell where his other two wheels went. I do semi like his head. They kept the horns and visor from the G1 design. So far, he's the only robot that you can tell is suposed to transform into a car by looking at him, which I guess the blatant whoring of the pontiac logo helps to do. His big, clunky feet remind me of the G1 toys. All in all, I'm starting to take these designs with a "guess they could have been worse" attitude :?

Why didn't they want their cars used? Because they were afraid the movie would be bad?

Seems like a slam dunk in terms of publicity. :?

I know there was talk that VW didn't want their vehicles represented in a movie about war. I'm guessing either thats the reason, or they just wanted too much money. GM is hurting and can use all the puplicity they can get. They're probably letting their vehicles in the movie for dirt.

Thats a good theory, I would say it comes down to money too. I mean I couldn't think of a better way to advertise their veichles in a movie than this one, Shame that it has to come down to all that in the end.

VolksWagen was endorsed by Adolf Hitler, and used forced Jewish labor during World War II. Of course they don't want their products even remotely associated with anything having to do with war. VW is owned and founded by Porsche, so obviously they're going to take the same position on the matter. Bumblebe and Jazz cannot be a VW and a Porsche. The movie isn't going to suck just because the characters don't transform into the exact same vehicles they did in 1984. It may suck for a number of other reasons, but that one is laughably low on the list.

Two of the wheels are encased in his shoulders. The other two are in his heels, which is exactly where they were in the original toy and Cartoon character.

Speak for yourself. If Optimus Prime doesn't turn into a big rig semi trailor, I'll storm the film company headquarters with my pitchfork and torch! ;)

I just read this on another forum I go to, but here is a link that has pics of the toys for the movie. The figures are of their protoform.

Has anybody seen that Hasbro is releasing a Hot Rod action figure that is almost identical to the original? I just saw it today.

Apologists, always thinking Realist Hollywood is the best option

I'm just having an open mind. You guys are already judging a movie that you haven't even seen. Sure, it might suck, Hollywood has screwed many things up before, but you never know, it might be excellent. It might be better than the cartoon.
