Don Murphy has said that they are nearing the end of the debate and it will be settled very soon. But right now it's still undecided. Murphy came out and squashed that notion once and for all, but that means the mystery continues as to who he will be and if he'll be like his original G1 form, with the transforming cassettes and all. Nobody expects him to be a cassette player, so if they include his minions (rumble, ravage, frenzy, etc.) then the writers will have to come up with something very creative. In other news, Activision has the rights for the movie video game (finally be able to kick ass with Optimus in truck form) and Hasbro has plans for an invasion of toys from the movie.

Deleted 7 years 3 months ago Posts: 54340	Ok, I didn't read the post after Soundwave being a helicopter, why is he not a CD player or and ipod? It would make since if he was a CDplayer because Rumble, Frenzy,etc could be CDs. For the ipod his minons could be the case, headphones or other accessories Apple could exploit. Watch them steal my ideas.

Strykor 7 years 3 months ago Posts: 2833	Rumble, Frenzy, Lazorbeak, and the other cassettbots being changed into CDs won't work, not unless they're about 10 CDs thick, otherwise, there's nothing to work with. So if the CGI cast is G1, then we're back to magnetic media, if they include them at all. (If so, I hope they make just one change, and give Ravage his Beast Wars form.)

Jason43 7 years 2 months ago Posts: 1799 Account Disabled	I think they're trying to keep a certain element or realism to the robots, so there wont be things like a 8 inch wide tape player transforming into a 20 foot robot. Thats why we wont see Soundwave as a tape player, Megatron as a handgun etc.

Soundwave WILL NOT be a cassette player, thus he will have no cassette minions. Shockwave will not be a gun, rumored to be a helicopter. Megatron WILL NOT be a pistol, he will be a tank. This is pretty much fact. New news as of late is that Starscream will be a F-22 and not a F-15- i think is BS. Don't get me wrong I love the f-22, but the Starscream we all love to hate is a badass F-15. Bumblebee will supposedly have a new Camaro body after his old body was destroyed. And finally Optimus Prime supposedly will not be a red frieghtliner semi, instead he'll be a red firetruck--also BS. Now some of this is rumors since Micheal Bay won't confirm much. But I'm gonna be pissed if they change all the bot and alt modes into something new. The thing that got me excited was picturing a red semi being chased down the highway by a screaming f-15 then transforming and duking it out. Megatron being a tank I understand, but changing the others to fit his own vision is a different story.
