anyone else manage under 6? under 8 is an accomplishment, when i started practicing this run, my best was 7:17 which quickly changed to 6:23, and then from there it was a big leap to 5:20, which was funny.

under 7 is a big accomplishment if you ask me.

mister E how fast have you beaten the game?

Let's just say I can beat the game. Heh. I've never really tried to do it really fast before. If I'd guess, using the warps in 1-2 and 4-2 to world 8, I'd say about 10-15 minutes. Now I need to time myself next time.

I still have dial-up and it would probably take a bazillion years to download it to you in an e-mail. I play even worse on an emulator anyway.

i hold the world record..... 5 minutes 9 seconds.

    1-1- 21 seconds (370)
    1-2- 1:03 (346)
    4-1- 1:31 (340)
    4-2- 2:16 (357)
8-1- 2:57-2:58 (199) can be done in 200... my only real mistake in the video.
    8-2- 3:32 i beleive (342)
8-3- 4:10 (242) slowed down to avoid fireworks.
    8-4- 5:09 (310)finished in 5 minutes 9 seconds by Twingalaxies.com's rules.

i dare you to try and beat any of my game unit times on any level, it is very difficult.

super mario bros. 2-my fastest time = 10 minutes 28 seconds

super mario bros. 3- my fastest time = 11 minutes 57 seconds.

    oh yeah and

Wait, YOU'RE the one?! Good sir, I've always been meaning to you this after I saw the video, but I'm putting you in my will for when I die.

And the Batman thing? Yeah, I know. It creeped into my head while at an aquarium. Such an awsome movie. :D

Nah, first of all I'm not really that great of video game player (I got to the second-to-last stage in SMB and that's it.). Second, I wouldn't know how to record a speedrun in the first place.

Oh, and that guy on Youtube? Forget about it. You would have to lower your standards to worry about... them. Trust me on that one.

With a Game Genie I could probably beat it in 3 or 4 minutes.

what can you do with a game genie in smb1? i mean, that would allow you to get a fast time like that.

Just about anything: Invincibility, swim in lava. Look at the list of Game Genie codes in the website I gave you.

If you take the second warp zone to level 7-1, you go to a never ending level, kind of like the minus world level, but there's just no end.
