Zack Ryder: WWE's unwanted stepchild....

Old_school_JJ 5 months 11 days ago Posts: 2832	Man what is it with WWE not wanting Zack Ryder over? I mean like him or not, you got to give the guy credit for hard work and getting himself over to the fans. Even to the point where fans were chatting "We want Ryder" in matches Zack wasn't even wrestling. WWE did throw him a little bone by giving a run with the US title, beating a man who they are pushing as a top heel now, Dolph Ziggler. But that reign was very short lived and he lost the title to Jack Swagger less than a month later. After said time, he really hasn't done much of note, besides forming a, let's face it, going nowhere team with Santino Marella and trading a win (to guys like David Otunga) for a lost (to guys like Antonio Cesaro and Alberto Del Rio). On last night's Raw (01/07/13) WWE did a list of the top five Superstars being followed on Twitter, with the Miz being one of the most on five. However, it's been stated that indeed Zack Ryder has even more than the Miz (a guy that the WWE does promote as a "top WWE superstar" of course). I've also posted a thread sometime ago about how it's been documented that WWE has taken away signs showing support for Ryder. The poor guy just can't seem to catch a break.

thecrow174 5 months 11 days ago Posts: 24234	It's not just Zack Ryder. A big guy like The Great Khali isn't getting a break either. He's gone from The Punjabi Nightmare to The Punjabi Pushover. He just keeps getting beat by the smaller guys week after week! It's pathetic that they're treating him like this! It really is!

One of course is that at one time the WWE was pushing Khali and gave him a run with the World title, putting him in main events matches with guys like John Cena and Batista, and had him just DESTORY guys like Undertaker. Sure now he's being used to get over heels over, but at least WWE did once push the guy. Zack Ryder on the other hand get himself over DESPITE WWE. He made his interent show and used social media to get his name out there, and it actually worked. WWE never wanted to put that guy over in the least, hell they had him taken out by Shemus (back when he was still a heel) in mere seconds, of course trying to make Ryder look like a total joke. I will agree that there are a few guys in WWE right now how have it even worse than Ryder though, Yoshi Tatsu, Tyson Kidd and Alex Riley come to mind. Those guys were given pushs at some point in their careers. Tatsu was being push on the WWECW show, Tyson a former tag champ, and Riley given that BIG babyface push going aganist Miz. But now these guys are only seen when they're being fed to big guys.
