Yep, "Skyfall" has risen back to the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office in North America, taking in $10.8 million. When the film gets the green light to open in China in January, Skyfall could go over the $1 billion mark.

Skyfall has already surpassed Spiderman 3 as Sony's highest grossing film.

Just when I thought the Bond machine was out of gas, this happens.

I wonder if the Chinese version will have edited dubs/scenes in line with the communist agenda. Perhaps Bond will ride a Camry instead of a Aston Martin, take spy shots with a Fugi camera, etc.

I laughed when Bond rolled up in a Ford in Casio Royale.

Wow, it has already made that much?

I don't think it's possibly for the Bond franchise to die.

I just have to mention... when I first read the title to this thread, I thought it meant "Skyfall set to hit the $1 bin"... and my first thought was, "It's not even out of theaters though." LOL

It would be pretty funny if that happened.

Now that you mentioned it, I was waiting for a good price on the dvd set, lol.

"Skyfall" has hit a snag getting approval for its China release and I bet v-man has a point over government scene edits. This film is too big for Chinese authorities to place on the banned list, imho.
