Have you ever had to return a Christmas gift that you bought someone because they already owned it or that it was defective?

Yep, I had to do this last year. I bought my girlfriend a movie she wanted for Christmas. About 3 days before Christmas her mom informed me that she had bought it for her a couple of days prior. So it was a mad rush back to the store to try and find something else. The pains of Christmas.

I remember when I had a Creepy Crawlers Oven for Christmas a long time ago, but unfortunately, it had to be rushed back to K-Mart because somehow it broke.

Yep, I bought "The Complete History of Baseball", back in 1997, for a friend of mine only to discover that his wife already gave him a copy. I kept the book for myself and bought my friend a block of real Vermont Cheddar cheese.

He still talks about that cheese all these years later.

Well, I sometimes returned gifts I didn't want for store credit. It's funny because all of the gifts that were exchanged last year are lying around the house unused.

Maybe I should return gift rejects but I'm always looking for a quick alternative to sending it back to the store.
