In your opinion, what is the most unfair disease of all?

In my opinion, it's cancer. Even many people who live a healthy lifestyle (without smoking, being overweight, etc.) can suddenly contract it and die under age 50.

Mine's is Botulism. The bacteria which causes that disease is the most lethal natural toxin in the world & even a small amount can kill a human.

Way to pick up the mood around here. Puts me in the holiday spirit.

Definitely autoimmune disorders like Lupus and Multiple Sclerosis. I know a handful of otherwise healthy people with these and other diseases. Your body is literally attacking itself for no reason. Cancer is now caught pretty quickly, but immune disorders can take years to diagnose and are very hard to treat. They often signify a long, painful life, if you are lucky to live to an elderly age. Cancer usually has a much better prognosis and a shorter period of suffering, either way.

Yet people inject it into their body to try and look young (botox).

I agree cancer is probably the worst next to those rare conditions that people get in those third world countries.

Thanks to vaccines and sanitation most don't know how bad things used to be.

I went to India this summer and I saw so many people living in slums in burning weather. The difference with them and us is that the slum people seem to be happy and grateful with what they have, while many of us whine over the slightest demand.
