Xmas songs you just can't stand?

    		 Are there are holiday songs that you just can't stand to hear, ones which make you want to smash the radio every time they come on?

    For me, it's "blue christmas", especially the elvis version. Between the stereotypically elvis "ah-ah'll ha-ave a blue christmas" part and especially the MF~ing backup singers' "oo-OO-oo-OO-oo!", it just drives me nuts. I'm not sure exactly why it bugs me so much, I just know that it does (the backup singers who sound like they're being groped bug me the most of all).
    The only version of the song that I can stand at all is the porky pig one. His stuttering breaks up the song so much that it becomes tolerable.

    Meanwhile, my mother could never stand "santa baby".

    		 Last Christmas. Not because of the content, but because I can hear countless covers of it. I remember eating at a restaurant on Christmas Eve in 2010 and there was cover after cover of it on the radio or something like that.

    I'm not a grouch, but I hate practically all Christmas songs by the time Christmas comes around, because they play so much. That is how I come to hate many modern songs on the radio.

    		 well one song that i can't seem to tolerate very much these days is "jingle bell rock". i hear that song EVERYWHERE. you name it, restaurants, malls, minimarts... ugh

    		 "All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" I hate it sooo much. the singer sounds like the pedophile from family guy, its the most annoying thing ever. I also cant stand any slow songs or jazz variations of Christmas songs. its gotta be upbeat.

    		 I know this sounds horrible..and I think it's because my husband likes to play fifteen thousand different versions of it, (slight exageration there), but Ava Maria. I'm not even sure that is a Christmas song but I hear it mostly around that time.

    		 I can't stand all these numerous variations of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bell Rock, and so many of the basic Christmas songs I've heard all of my life.

    		 I Hate Frosty the snowman. I mean not only is it one of the most overplayed songs around this time of year but I can't stand any variation of it. There is cheery like rudolph the red nosed reindeer. Then there is cheery where you want to dig your ears out with a rusty spoon. Thats frosty to me every time I hear that song it makes me want to scratch my ears out.
    Thats right I ran over the Taco Bell dog...... I got banned from Taco Bell for life.

    		 I hate most christmas songs, I used to work in a grocery store so that pretty much ruined x-mas music for me. I never loved x-mas music much anyways though, TV specials and food are the best x-mas memeories for me.

    		 My girlfriend constantly plays the Michael Buble Christmas album around the holidays. Seeing as how that entire album makes me want to melt my own face, I'm just going to pick every song on it.

    		 Feliz Navidad is so bad I actually walked out of a store just to avoid hearing it as mood music.

    With its 3rd grader lyrics it must have taken Jose Feliciano 5 minutes to write it.

    and pretty much any christmas song done by someone outside of the regular classic Christmas song singers like Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis, Gene Autry, and the like. I REALLY don't like country music versions of Christmas songs other than Ricocchet's version of Let It Snow and Lonestar's version of Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town. The local station that plays Christmas music all day from Thanksgiving to Christmas seems to only play one real Christmas song to about 12 newer versions.
    Don't pay any attention to the evil spirited and dead of heart. They're not worth your time.

    And that's how it all starts - people hear a song around the holiday season and given enough time that song becomes associated with the holidays. I can take small doses of Ave Maria, (very small in the case of Luciano Pavarotti, lol), but this song does seem to be on more and more playlists during the holiday season lately.

    		 I can't stand anything new. I really dislike new renditions of old Christmas classics by today's artists. If I have to hear "White Christmas" I want to hear Bing singing it. If I have to hear "Holly Jolly Christmas", it better be Burl singing it.
