Will I do better dating women slightly older than me?

seaners87655 7 months 2 days ago Posts: 58	I actually have a pretty big passion for nostalgia and some of it even happens to be from the earlier parts of the 1990's even if I was born in 1991. I sometimes think it will be nice to have a girlfriend who has been born in the 1970's or 1980's so she could have experienced all of the 80's or 90's and show me what other stuff I missed. It's sort of an attraction thing. Does anyone have the same situation?

Sunriser 7 months 2 days ago Posts: 7684	Well, the good news is, you're the right age for cougars! The chances of them being into nostalgia are very slim. And you could easily find someone of that age to tell you stories and share memories that you don't need to date. You just need to find a girl that is into the stuff you're into and that you feel a connection with outside of that and you'll be golden.

bassman21 7 months 14 hours ago Posts: 12839	LOL Dyzfunk7ional I knew a guy that dated a woman who was like 20 years older than he was (he was like 22 at the time). He ended up getting her pregnant and they had a son together. She always talked down on him like she was more superior than he was and always ordered him around. I knew another guy that dated a nurse in her 40s. The same thing.....she always talked down on him. In his case the woman was a complete nutjob. She was verbally and physically abusive towards him. When he tried to break it off she threatened to go to the police and say that he raped her. She stalked him when ever he would hang out with us. She got my now ex friend fired from his job. Later she got violent with another guy and the guy beat her ass. He then called the police and the police pressed charges on her. I think he was finally about to get her to go away, but it took a couple of years. My advise is to stick to women your own age. Its not a big deal if they are a couple of years older than you, but don't get with one that will make you her boy toy.

I don't have the same situation, but if you find someone older that enjoys nostalgia like you I think you guys could have a nice relationship; having something in common is important. I would draw the line at the 80's. If you're interested in the 70's just go hang out at bingo and watch Good Times.

Yeah most cougars try to be into whats popular now so they can feel young or hip so going older would probably usually offer less of a nostalgia connection, someone your own age or close is probably your best bet as far as having a nostalgia connection because most women that go for much younger guys still want to be in their heyday and don't really embrace the past IMO anyways, obviously there are exceptions to every rule!
