For those of you that enjoyed the original, you'll probably like this.

Its kills me that they changed the enemies to north korea instead of china. i mean come on north kore. China would have been more realistic, but we dont want to offend our chinese overlords.

1984 was a long time ago. While I continue to like action films this Red Dawn remake feels like "the wrong movie at the wrong time".

I'm getting that uncomfortable feeling that our mass media keeps telling us the same stories, over and over. Like Ronald Reagan, the Cold War is long gone.

Maybe this remake will give the youth of today some pride in their country, by showing them it can all be gone in a flash. The cold war should have been a lesson that peace through strength works.

I always felt the first movie was too quiet. Like nothing was going on, this definitely seems to at least give the illusion America was invaded which I felt the first one didn't pull off so good.

Yes, this trailer captures that "mass invasion" feeling very well. This could be quite an excellent movie overall. My track record with this type of plot is not good. Remember I was the guy that laughed at "The Hunt for Red October" back in 1990. That turned out to be a helluva great flick.

Well guys. It's been a month since the last post thread. And this movie is a critical and commercial disappointment. A friend of mine kept saying that this movie is a waste of time. It kind of is since no one is talking about it and, even if they are, they say it sucks. My friend also said that the original didn't make any sense back then either. If you saw the remake, what do you think?
