1) There aren't any "true" "arcades" around here anymore (though there are chuck e cheese, and the one movie theater has an arcade).
2) I have rejected arcades for more than a decade now, ever since they went to nothing but redemption games & friggin $2/play pole position knockoffs. I mean seriously, what's the point anymore?

I played a demo setup of crazy taxi years ago. I was at best buy, they had one of those video/gaming rigs for vans set up as a demo, and had crazy taxi on it. I had never seen the game before (this was way back when video systems in vehicles were a new concept) & had no idea what to do. I started driving around. I saw some people apparently trying to get a ride, but when I drove up to them they ran off. Finally I just started running them over, then ran wild & quite literally drove up the walls.

Uhh if I do happen to stumble upon an arcade I will spend a few bucks. There is this place in Portland that would make you cream Your jeans. Its called ground kontrol and its a retro arcade/bar (barcade). They have every good arcade machine and pinball you can think of. I go there whenever I head downtown.
Other than that, the mall has most of Your newer fighting games like tekken 6 and street fighter 4, which I like to play but they're are spendy, like a dollar a play. I wonder if they have Tekken tag 2, that came out today.
Shit happens when You fart naked
Retro pimpin aint easy

I don't go there a lot but I LOVE Ground Kontrol. Takes me back to the days at Mall 205 in Aladdin's Castle.
I made my avatar on some awesome pixel art site.

The time for arcades have passed and kids (although they didn't factor in the big kids here) play on computers nowadays locked in their rooms.
It's sad for me, because arcades meant having fun with friends playing games while also interacting socially.
Last time I went I spent like 10 bucks, that was like 4 years ago though. When I was a kid though I never spent anything, I would crawl around the floor the whole time looking for tokens.
