I'm trying to find the name of a 90s-era kid's storybook (about grade 3-4 level) about a food fight that took place in a grade-school cafeteria. My teacher had read it to us when I was in the fifth grade. It had black-and white pictures in the book along with the text. All I can remember my teacher telling us about the book was it was about a food fight, and that was it, nothing else. If this might jog your memory, all I can remember about the involved in the food fight played such games like "basketball with peas" and "catch the cottage cheese". I also remember a mention in the book about the school principal coming in to investigate, which probably ended the story IMHO.
Unfortunately, I could not find a copy of it on eBay or a description of it on Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble. If anything in the above paragraph rings any bells about it (the book), please let me know by at least giving me the title and author as well as any additional information about the book such as the year it was first published.
