I don't get it. Recording experiences for others to play back has been a concept used in sci-fi stories for decades. Religious overtones and witnessing history are not exactly unique either. Oh wait, I get it. It's just an attention grab.

Oh sure, NOW he starts bitching. He had since 2007 to complain about any "copyright infringment" and only when the game become popular enough, he starts? Sounds like someone trying to cash in on something popular to me.

To be fair, the average person isn't really aware of the sci-fi angle unless they actually played the game

And who knows how long he was consulting with a lawyer/trying to negotiate with Ubisoft beforehand

He seems to know enough about the game, since he mentioned his machine being similar to the Animus, the Biblical/Religious references, and the whole reliving historical events thing. So he can't really plead ignorance in this case.

I'll give him that maybe it took this long for anything to happen. The legal system is pretty infamous for taking it's own sweet time in dealing with things.

    One does not simply

    Think up Assassin's Creed

Haha the author doesn't look very well known, so unless evidence crops up at Ubisoft via testimony or memos from the creative team, i don't think he'll have a winning case.

It's a shame part of the suit calls for an injunction against Assassin's Creed games
