Occupy protestors - free speech for everyone (but only if you agree with us).

Deleted 1 year 5 months ago Posts: 54340	Just read this news story about something that happened at a local Occupy Protest here in Seattle. http://www.komonews.com/news/local/Police-Anti-Occupy-Seattle-protestor-beaten-134951853.html The protesters have been "occupying" Seattle Central Community College, and many people have been fed up with it. A 42 year old man decided to make an "anti-occupy" sign and hold it up near the Occupy Seattle protesters encampment that read ""Occupy Somewhere Else, Not My School". Despite the whole occupy movement supposedly being about "free speech" and "right to assembly", some occupy people felt that freedom of speech should only be applied to them...so they went over and beat the man up. If you think back to last year and the Tea Party protests...you hardly ever heard of any kind of trouble happening at the Tea Party rallies, yet they were branded by the liberal left as "terrorists", "traitors", and "criminals". Now with the Occupy movement, you constantly hear reports of violence, drugs, rioting, vandalism, rapes, and protesters urinating on police cars and taking dumps on public sidewalks...and the left completely ignores it and continues to call these occupy people "patriots". Once again, the double standards and hypocrisy of the left is exposed for all to see.

I respect your political beliefs, but you've gotta stop generalizing and assuming everything from the right is good and everything from the left is bad. This is an isolated incident anyway (although for the record, I do think a good majority of the protesters are idiots).

I'm just pointing out a double standard as I see it happening when it comes to these protests.
