Scariest production logos/ads and other scary crap...

    		 I remember when I was about a year old, WPIX-TV used to run classic cartoons like Tom & Jerry, Magilla Gorilla and Scooby-Doo for years. I remember one show was on WPIX-TV from the good old 11 Alive where they showed the old Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jeckle cartoons. The most scariest part as a child was the opening, bumpers and closings. That used to freaked me out. One of them was the rocket zoomed acrossed the screen. That scares me to death when I was a baby.     That one was right before the Desilu logo appeared.

    And let's not forget the ABC PSA's for Timer. Timer was a character that he was talking about foods. The end of Timer's PSA on breakfast scares me to death where Timer explodes to black. :shock:

    		 yeah I don't think anybody could watch the ending credits without holding there eyes. I mean you get some pleasent pics of the star trek cast then a prety space lady, then all of a sudden , that thing pops out of nowhere , scaring the crap out of us.

    Haha, yeah I forgot all about that guy! He was scary as hell.

    To his credit though, when you think about it he did seem as surprised to see us as we did to see him. :)


    Im just glad im not the only one who he freaked out i even remeber seeing his face in my dreams when i was younger scareing me.

    		 Not sure if I dreamed this but I think that when the tv show monsters was going to commercial they would have a bump with the word monsters and they would have this music on. well not really music but more like one note that was only on for a second or so. but damn was that scary even though it was only on for like a second. anyone else remember this?

    That logo was later used as a parody of the THX logo called BFS together with the fart sounds. That was also featured in the opening credits for "Repossessed".

    		 I am surprised that no one has yet mentioned the WGHB logo that alot of PBS shows used. With its bright neon yellow color.

    Oh goodness! that really scared me when I was little.

    And that "V of Death" scared me too because I thought it was gonna pop out from the tv screen to kill me.

    That flash of doom from WBGH scared me when I was little. Just by listening to the music---could hardly sleep at night after listening to that.

    I remember the first jingle for King Features logo. It was used at the end of the old 1930's "Flash Gordon" serials. I remember the second King Features jingle at the end of an old movie from the 60's as featured in MST3K where the robot says in a shadowy seats "Let's get out of here before the crown flys around the screen!"

    		 for me it had to be the start of "tales from the darkside" and the logo for "the new twiligth zone" with that damnd window with moonlight and the heart beat at the end
