I have only four long boxes. I have some stuff that's pretty rare, but not much valuable. I like weird stuff.
Probably the most valuable I have is:
-the full set of TMNT Collected (not the graphic novels from First, nor the new IDW trades that are coming out now. This is seven volumes from Mirage, regular comic book size, paperback, about 1/4" thick)
-Captain Marvel and the Monster Society of Evil trade. A giant size hardcover, with slipcase, collection of a long Captain Marvel (Shazam) serial. I bought this when I was a kid from the local comic store for $80. After many moves, I realized I couldn't find it. I recently bought it again, for quite a bit more but I'm glad I have it and will read it again sometime.
-Complete run of Groo the Wanderer from Pacific--including the Destroyer Duck issue with a Groo short--and nearly complete run of Epic issues. My Pacific Groo #1 is signed with a sketch by Sergio Aragones. I bought it that way and didn't even know it was signed until I read it. If I wanted to sell it (which I don't) I'd probably have to spend half the profit to get it authenticated, which is a real bullshit process. They have no way to prove more than a serious collector with a good eye, but they will charge you for the piece of paper and plastic case (so you can't read it any more) and give it regardless.
-Speaking of signed stuff, I have Daredevil Man Without Fear miniseries #1 signed by John Romita Jr. Again, no authentication. This one I got signed in person. Should have taken a picture with him but I was just a kid, didn't know anything. I'm not looking to sell anyway but if I ever wanted to, like if I was old and ready to die, that would come in useful.
I have a friend who is working on a complete run of Uncanny X-Men after he chanced into a couple hundred issues for cheap. We grew up devouring that stuff. He might have finished by now, actually. I'll have to ask when I see him this xmas.
