If I think real hard I think it was Goonies at the drive in, in Pennsylvania 1985. I probably seen something before that, but I just can't remember. Maybe Gremlins.

The first movie I saw in a theater was Hook. After that I saw Mars Attacks, Star Wars Episode 4(Special Edition), Godzilla (1998 ),Star Wars Episode 1, Star Wars Episode 3 and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. You read that right. I've only been to a theater to see 7 movies from childhood to adult. Reason why is it is much better to enjoy movies from the comforts of home, in my opinion.

    I was born in 1981.

The 1987 re-release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the first movie I can recall seeing in a theater -- as you might guess, it was a pretty big event in my family, given that it had never been on video at that point (would take another 7 years before Disney would finally see fit to release it).

That is certainly the earliest, but some other early ones I remember seeing are Willow (at the drive in), Ghostbusters II, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Gremlins 2 and Joe vs The Volcano on a drive-in double movie night, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. TMNT was free because my friend had delivered enough newspapers to get several free tickets for him and some other friends, good times for a 9 year old!

Space Jam when I was in kindergarden. I used to have the soundtrack to the movie but my sister snapped it in half accidently. I can't find the VHS for the movie though.
